A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of the Chicago area, as roads may become slick and snow-covered.

A winter storm is expected to bring the Chicago area its heaviest snowfall in more than two years, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 a.m. Saturday through Sunday morning.
While Monday is providing a break in the winter weather activity in the Chicago area, it will be brief. Another system is taking shape and will move into the area late Tuesday night. It will start mainly as a cold rain for most of the Chicago area.
Chicago's total for the 2025-26 snowfall season already stands at 17.1. That's almost as much as Chicago notched in all of 2024-25.
