Russia overnight attacked targets across Ukraine with 241 drones and five missiles, striking energy infrastructure and killing two civilians, according to Ukraine's air force and government officials.

Ukraine said Thursday its long-range drones had struck a major offshore oil platform in the Caspian Sea this week, signalling an expansion of its target list in a mounting campaign to cut off Russian energy revenues funding its war.

France's president condemns the attack and announces talks in London on Monday with Ukrainian, British and German leaders.

Zelenskyy indicated the talks were hastily arranged as Kyiv officials scramble to avoid getting boxed in by U.S. President Donald Trump, who has disparaged the Ukrainian leader, painted European leaders as weak, and set a strategy of improving Washington’s relationship with Moscow.
