Widespread, steady system snow that developed Saturday afternoon will start to taper off from west to east across Northeast Ohio Saturday evening.

Winter storm warnings have been issued for 3 New Jersey counties while the rest of the state is under a winter weather advisory.

Central Ohio is likely to see 4-6 inches of snow on Dec. 13, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

On Saturday at 2:49 p.m. EST the National Weather Service issued an updated winter weather advisory in effect until Sunday at 1 a.m. EST for Keweenaw, Ontonagon, Houghton and Gogebic counties.

A widespread winter storm is expected to hit New Jersey Saturday night and could drop 1 to 5 inches of snow across the state, forecasters say. Winter weather advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service for 19 counties and a winter storm warning has been issued for parts of three counties expected to get the highest snowfall totals.

Northern Plains through the Southeast are under cold weather alerts this weekend and will face dangerously cold wind chills.

On Saturday at 4:31 p.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 7 p.m. until Sunday 7 a.m. for Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 4:23 p.m. EST in effect until Sunday at 1 p.m. EST for Missaukee County.
